How to adjust Fiori in-app help/User Assistant?

Dear experts,

when working with an app, there is the option to use the in-app help/user assistant, marking certain fields with a blue circle and giving the option to display information.

However, sometimes not all fields are marked, or important information is missing. Example: take the app G/L Account Balances. The filters for Ledger, CC, and G/L Account are highlighted, while Controlling Area is not.

Is there any way to adjust the in-app help, so that I can add information on certain fields or highlight them with the circle?

Any help is appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Best regards

Jan

Hi Jan,

Please go through the help documentation available in

https://help.sap.com/viewer/product/SAP_ENABLE_NOW

Also there is a OpenSAP course SAP Enable Now Framework

Thank you,

jan369 If you don't have Enable Now to have a custom help/user assistant then I don't think you'll be able to do the customization you want. The standard SAP delivered help/user assistant fields are only customizable by SAP is my understanding.

Best,

Ryan

Hi Mahesh,

first of all thanks for the answer. Can you give me one more hint? There are 38 documents available via the link you provided. Furthermore, it looks like those documents are related to installing and adjusting your own enable-now framework for preparing training sessions. But what I want to do is to adjust the SAP User Assistant in a cloud environment - if that makes sense..

Anyway, many thanks again for your answer!

Hi Ryan,

thanks for your reply. I always thought SAP Enable Now is just for used for improving training session content. I do understand that the tech. behind it is used for the user assistant displayed in the help section of the shell bar when using the Fiori Launchpad, but I did not know that one could also leverage the functionalities of Enable Now to customize the help display himself.

And as you suggested in your last sentence, I think the same - especially for Cloud Environment. Was just curious if I would be able to change this at least for some apps help content to display more information on different fields, but anyway..

Best Regards

Jan
