Hi All,
We are looking to design a solution for one of our customers. The Organization has 2 entities one is US based and the other one is China based. We are planning different architectural options w/ one being a shared instance of S4HC Essential Edition (aka MTE, Public Cloud) between these 2 entities, one based out of US and the other based of China. My question here is does Chinese Cyber Security Law prevent us to go for a shared instance outside the Chinese territory Or Am I getting this wrong? What are the other disadvantages of Chinese Cyber Security Law in going for a shared instance of MTE? Can anyone help here?
All the Best.
As far as I can see - approach to this seems to vary customer by customer - some seem happy to have Chinese data hosted outside of China; others do not...
(sorry - probably not a very helpful response)
Probably best to veryfy with the organisation's internal IT?

So far as I know, there is one client who deplyed their S4HC system with multiple country versions, China and other countries (they have a factory in Chaina mainland). And their system's data center is located in Japan. To date, I havent heared any feedback about this. So I guess it's not a cirtical problem in the current situation.
