Dear all,
I would like you to confirm the use of workcenter hierarchies is not possible yet and if it going to be available at some stage.
Nowadays the creation of a hierarchy is not possible (take a look at note 2774277) and even the use of the standard one does not allow me to see the cumulated capacity through app Manage Work Center Capacity. So far , the use of pool capacities is the best solution I see.
Any advice or remark regarding this?
regards,
Marta
Hello arcrid_sap/Marta.
How are you? As an advice, the best workaround I see in this case is to use the Work Center Groups, that is available for S/4HANA Cloud Essentials 2005 (https://help.sap.com/viewer/84dbf30eedb4450983dc3d1c81b71996/2005.500/en-US/b0612656c2fd43da84162868bdafc6a0.html?q=work%20center%20hierarchy).

Hi Juliano,
Thanks for the reply .
I have already checked the use of work center groups but it is not covering the requirement that I have, that is to display the total available capacity / or total capacity requirements of the whole group.
I am only available to display the total requirements or total capacity available by work center ( app Manage Work center Capacity),
I think the major functionality of work center groups is when using Extended Production Planning and Scheduling. Am I right?
Regards,
Marta
Hello arcrid_sap
How are you? Regarding the work center groups you can use for Capacity Leveling inside SAP S/4HANA Cloud Essentials with Scope Items Production Capacity Evaluation (31L) and Production Capacity Leveling (3LQ). Also, for S/4HNA Cloud Essentials, there is no functionality yet for Extended Production Planning and Scheduling, that exists now only in S/4HANA On Premise and its variations (S/4HANA HEC and S/4HANA Cloud Extended). Please consider this clarification: https://help.sap.com/viewer/DRAFT/84dbf30eedb4450983dc3d1c81b71996/2008.500/en-US/2b4664ca05ba4211a8.... Finally, in the Appl "Manage Work Center Capacity" (F3289), you can add "Work Center Group" as a filter for Capacity Management and display the Capacity of all the Work Centers in the Work Center Group.
