I got the following request from my customer:
"We requested an option to have control over material prices in the system for costing, and ideally this would mean using the purchase info records as this would also drive the purchase orders. We were told that it is not possible to roll costs of materials from the purchase info records; however, I read online that this is possible in the on premise version. The solution that was brought to use utilizes a separate field in the material master called “future planned price.” This needs to be maintained in addition to the purchase info records. Also, this field can only be updated manually for each individual item; there is no upload functionality."
I had a call with the customer and it appeared:
- the customer wants standard calculated cost based on purchase records, with material master updated monthly
- the customer doesn't use standard calculation of costs, because these are based on PO values in their solution
=> my question is : is it possible in S4HC to update standard costs monthly based on purchase records? Apparently the manual update of each individual item is cumbersome.
