See kba 2765202 - Trial balance does not show opening balance in transaction currency - https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2765202

Use measurments with regard to Balancing Currency e.g Starting Balance in Balance Currency etc.

In the G/L Account Master data app where G/L account is set Only Balance in Local Currency = Yes the local currency is used also for transaction currency in the balance.

if you want to compare the balances between a specific time-frame, you can look at the app "Trial Balance Comparison".

You can also look at CDS view "I_GLAcctBalanceComprnCube" - G/L Account Balance Comparison Cube or the custom analytical query Trial Balance Comparison (C_TRIALBALANCEQ0002)
