Error message Posting only possible in periods xxx and xxxx in company code xxxx M7053

We are scheduling the goods issue of deliveries in the background using the APP 'schedule goods issues for deliveries'
The job is failing with this entry in the log. "Posting only possible in periods xxxx and xxxx in company code xxxx" ( M7053 )
The delivery dates are in an open period why are we getting this error ?
