Is mass set up/change/deletion of asset master data possible within S/4HANA CLoud?

I wondered if mass set up, mass change and mass deletion of assets is possible within S/4HANA Cloud 1911 version. I understood that it was possible to set up multiple assets in older versions of S/4HANA Cloud using the "create asset" app but I did not found any information regarding the mass procedures for the new "Manage Fixed Assets" fiori app. Can anybody help me with that question?

The new app Manage Fixed Assets is clearly focused on individual maintenance .

The masterdata script BNI : ttps://support.sap.com/content/dam/SAAP/Sol_Pack/Library/MasterDataScripts/BNI_S4CLD1911_Master_Data_EN_XX.docx

makes no reference to any kind of mass maintenance options so we can only hope that a new app will be provided in the future to be used by customer that have a need for mass maintenance in this area.

I believe that SAP did not add this functionality to S4HC ,still. We are still not able to create mass assets, or change the related assets massively. Does anyone find an alternative to this? That would be great if you can enlighten us 🙂

Mass creation and mass change is available through APIs.

You can download them from here

From the App 'Manage Fixed Assets' the functionality is still not available.

lucian.marian I just noticed there was a change regarding the mass change of asset master data in the 2011 S/4HANA Cloud release. (https://roadmaps.sap.com/board?PRODUCT=67837800100800007389&q=asset master&range=2020Q4-2021Q4#;INNO=40F2E9281A631EDB85A0AC68735BC0FE) Do you have any information how the mass change of asset master data is performed? I can not find any information regarding those mass changes in the SAP Best Practice Library.

one additional comment here:

The app in question is linked to the scope item Mass Processing of Assets (‏4ON‏) and this scope item is associated with the Joint Venture Accounting (3F7) scope item. Only JVA customers that have licensed 3F7 have access to this mass processing app.

Good question. Our experience with the new apps/functionality is mostly in alignment with Lucian. In theory you can select multiple records in Manage Fixed Assets to mark them for deletion, but I've not seen this work and there is no functionality to mass change. Not sure if you with the new data migration templates could continue to create new assets in mass, but again conceptually it should keep working. I know there are several influence items out there for mass capability in asset accounting, I'd suggest voting on them if you haven't already.

For mass creation of assets, go to "create assets" app. In a pop-up you can then change certain fields that differ between the assets. Please see the screenshot

I understood that for the latest S/4HANA Cloud version 1911 the "create assets" app is not used anymore. Instead the app "manage fixed assets" is part of the best practice procedures and should be used for asset master data procedures.
