Hello Experts,
i have the requirement to set a different approval step for Purchase Requisition created manually and purchase requisition created by MRP.
I checked the workflow and there is creation indicator that differentiate them.
when i open the match code i find only the following options:
In particular, i don't find the option "Material Requirement Planning" do differentiate the approval workflow. Why the creation indicator "material requirement planning" is not available in the list? Will be included in further releases?
Thanks and regards
Daniele
Hello Daniele,
Refer to the KBA 2856173 for your requirement, as per standard design workflow will not get triggered for 'Creation Indicator' equal to 'B' (Materials Requirement Planning).
If you want workflow to triggered for such PRs, kindly make small change in the PR manually to re trigger the workflow.
Thanks
Regards,
Vijayendra

I would like to know what would happen if you used a specific requisition document type for MRP related requisitions (Say doc type ZMRP) and then set up a flexible workflow for document type of purchase requisition is "ZMRP". Might be an interesting workaround...

It's a good question but does not work either Reeves.
There is new functionality called handover requistion - where supply chain can handover the requisition to procurement when they are happy it is ready.
Needs a new MRP group but is quite straight forward to set up.
With this feature you can use the Hand Over Purchase Requisitions app to hand over in one step all selected purchase requisitions in your area of responsibility that are created automatically during the MRP run and that have to be checked before being handed over to purchasing. The app is available in the search function embedded in the shell bar as well as in the app finder in the user actions menu.
