Add document type as restriction on role

Dear Expert,

Is it possible to add document type as restriction on business role?

If not what could be the workaround solution to not allow some users to use a dedicated document type but allow others to use it?

Hi,

The document type is not supported as a restriction criteria. I would suggest exploring the authorization groups, that can be defined for example for Customer related transactions , or Supplier related. This plus, the account type will give you more granularity. Another option depending on what you are trying to achieve is to explore the Hierarchy types and Hierarchy IDs.

Hi,

Ok. The need is to not allow user to reverse document posting coming from external application.

Workaround solution I found is to set reversal document as blank in document type configuration point. If reversal is really needed they will do it manually.
