#COE Time recording report

Hi Community,

After I create a project and assign resource to it. I can get a report for comparing the planned hours and the recorded hours via the "Notify Missing Time" app.

But if the employee recording time by create unstaffed project in "Manage My Timesheet" APP, where can I get the report of his recorded hours?

Hi candicezhang ,

I would recommend building a custom CDS view to report on that information.

If you are only interested in the recorded hours along with the status of the timesheet entry (submitted, approved etc). then the I_TimeSheetRecord view should be able to address that requirement. If you also need planned hours information you may also need to consider I_ResourceAssignmentPlanItem.

Hi candicezhang ,

Out-of-the box, the report "Project Profitability", "Projects - Actuals" and general ledger line item applications will all provide you with information on hours that were recorded and approved that is, once postings have occurred. For reporting on CATS related information, that is whether an hour was saved/submitted but not approved, a more enhanced report could be build using the released CDS views.

In general time-sheet requirements and reporting may vary case by case. Additionally, considering that the S4HC "Manage My Timesheet" application is also extendable, additional customized information could be captured in the whitelisted views/custom reports.

Lastly, I also invite you to explore some sample in-app and side-by-side scenarios pre-solutioned that you may refer to parts of it in your development efforts. There is an app " Team Utilization" for line manager to view the utilization time of his team members. He/She can view recorded hours, approved hours, unapproved hours, billable hours and non-billable hours for a date period.

Following the Business role should be assigned "SAP_BR_MANAGER_HRINFO" to access this App.

Why there is no team member data in my Team Utilization screen?

Does this need to be integrated with other systems?

So SAP doesn't provide us a standard report to show the recorded hours?

Why allow me to record time but not allow me to view the generated report?

Hi candicezhang ,

if you are maintaining Employee data using "Import Employee" app, then in the template "EmployementData" you can link by maintaining the data in column "ManagerPersonExternalId". Otherwise, if you have SuccessFactors Employee Central integration, then it has to be maintained in SFEC.

Will it be because I am missing some steps such as linking team members, so I don't have data?
