Hi deepakw

As of now Indian companies are adopting IND-AS. And thereby typically we do not require IFRS, unless until there is a mandate by any of the provisions attracted to.

To decide the applicability of scope items 1GB and 1GF for your organisation, first we have to look in to the necessity of having multiple Ledgers. Thereby, we need to check whether there exists a necessity of multiple set of reporting requirement of your financial statements.

However, few companies may opt it voluntarily to report their financials as per IFRS as well, for few of the advantages and it is the discretion of organisation.

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Deepak,

Keep in mind that this is always a system design choice that needs to be discussed and agreed right from the start with all the parties involved in the project especially the finance team.

If you need to create reports following both IFRS and local GAAP form the system you should go for the parallel bundle scopes.

If there is no need for this keep it simple with the single ledger option for local reporting only .

You don't have a choice to activate just one or two parallel scope items , you will activate the parallel ledger bundle that includes all the scope items that activate IFRS specific content ( or USGAAP in case of the other selection option)

Please check the availability and dependency of the scope items in this accelerator :

Hi Deepak Waghmare - to add to the great points on this thread, if you are curious about what processes are covered in a scope item, I suggest you look at the Best Practices Scope presentation. This PowerPoint has a slide dedicated for each scope item that explains the process and end to end functionality supported. This will help you determine the differences between the scope items and if it needed: https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/browse/categories/sap_s%254hana/areas/cloud/packageversions/BP_CLD_ENTPR

(Scope Presentation is under accelerators)

Please note that this presentation changes with every quarterly release as new functionality is available.

Hope this helps!
