Define Companes in organizational structure for severial countries

Hi expert

In our SAP S4 Cloud system， we only active two country version,  So I can create company structure for this two country,

But for affiliate reconcile report, we decide to use "Trading partner" field to get the reconcile information, It means that we need to create all the company structure in severial countries.

How can I create the company structure without active those country version?

Hi,

Currently in S4HC you can only create company in country that is activated in your system. That means the country and currency in company will always be identical to country default.

Many customers create companies in this way as this is only option. After that or especially after new country is activated they ask country code to be changed in selected companies with impediment process.

That is my concern, it is possible to change the country version and currency of created company?

If not, the company structure code will be occupied, I cann't create company with same code anymore.

You need to contact the product expert / success manager to raise an impediment for this issue as mentioned earlier.

There should be nothing stopping you from using an already activated value in the system

you will just have some additional units that are not needed and should not be used as a side effect of activating the predelivered best practice content for each new country.

This new countries will just create additional new units in the system with different id's then the default ones : 1010,1810 , etc.

Additional question is that for company 1010, 1810, I created it in USA country version, In the future, I'm note sure whether can i change their country

Hello,

the org structure app only supports the setup in the already activated countries so there is still a missing functionality in this area for this scenario.

You need to contact the product expert/ success manager assigned to your project and open an impediment to have the support teams configure the additional values for you according to the requirements.

Pay attention that if you plan to add new countries soon they will come with one company/trading partner so leave them outside of the request if possible to be added in the system during the provisioning process.

You can try to create the values in one of the existing country and just ask for the currency and country to be updated according to your needs to reduce the processing time.

The problem is that you can't create values that are already activated so you will probably have to ask when you add a new country that the value to be created then should be renamed to a dummy value if you have already used the ID that you wanted to have there in advance since you can't avoid the creation of the default delivered content at all.

For ex 1010 is the default value for DE.

You can create a company called 1010 now in your system if you have just US activated and the 1010 reserved for DE will be changed in the system to 0001 ( this is just the namespace reservation)

Now if you want to activate DE and don't ask for a remapping in the template the system will remember the value 0001 and deliver it as default unit in DE.

You can't prevent this value to be created and you can only request in the mapping template to have it changed to something that will be recognized as not to be used by the users ( ZZZZ or whatever you define as rule).

I can create all the company in the actived country version ( for ex US): 1710 1720 1010 1810

But in the future, after half an year, when we active the DE country version 1010 和 and IN country version, I still want to use the code 1010 and 1810, because all the company structure code is official.

What to do can meet our requirement?

Your S4HC subscription will at minimum have one country version and you can request additional country versions to be activated by submitting an incident to SAP. Once the additional country versions have been activated you can proceed to create the new company codes within those countries.(Please note that you can only setup a company code for a country which we have localization content for.)
