Add resource to a project

Dear experts,

please assist, I'm not able to staff my project by clicking "add resources".

My employee is extended with employment data (assigned to a company code, cost center, working schedule).

Can anybody explain why and assist in resolving this issue.

    Hello Rob,

In order to add ressources to the workpackage, you need to use the API Manage Workforce Availability if you don't use use SucessFactors. With the API, you are able to add hours for each ressources.

    Hope this helps.

    • Hi Angelina Ramaisa ,

Thank you for getting back. First I want to bring back to your attention the restriction on intercompany transfers we have in place for integration with SFSF EC:

That said, when I encountered a similar case during a past project what resolved the issue was changing/modifying the hire date field in SFSF EC to match the start of the project date. In addition to maintaining availability to the corresponding dates. It is also important that in case you replicate the full HR/employment history of the employee to S4HC that the change of hire date is made on the initial hire event of SFSF EC. Alternatively, when planning the resource request for projects that start before September 15, you could try to make sure that the requested hours only begin or are planned for for days after September 15.

      Hope this helps,

      Thank you,
