Hello,
I am facing some issue while adding the resources in the customer project app. Actually it was working fine, but after activation of few scope like 1KC, 2MV etc, the add resources are automatically disapper. it is complete blank.
As I am very much near by to complete of fit-to-workshop activity and i am stuck with this issue. I also raised the tickets to sap and they had provided me the following solution as per shown in the attached snap shot. But not sure what do perform, as currently ther will be no SF, EC will be there in terms of integration.
What are the steps by step procedure with screen shot, I need to perform in the starter system, if anyone can provide me it would be really help for me.
Thanks in advance.

Hello All,
We can be able to upload the employee in the work package. The reason why it was not reflecting is that after 1KC activation we need to upload the employee resource availability allocation on a daily basis via API postman app. Once that is done, the employee can be reflected and can be assigned for the respective work package.
That is how we solved this issue.
Thanks, everyone for your support.

Kundan V

Hi Kundan,
Joern's answer to the incident is pretty detailed. If the integration with SF EC is not in place, you can maintain resource availability through API Manage Workforce Availability. As stated in the incident, you can find a guide which describes how to use the API to maintain daily availability data in the Roadmap Viewer (Accelerators > "Setting Up Daily Availability Data Using an API.pdf"): https://go.support.sap.com/roadmapviewer/#/group/BE47098A-617A-43EF-A27E-DFD801D70483/roadmap/IMPS4H...
Kind regards,
Ana

Hi Ana,
Thank you very much for your valuable response. But Sorry to say this, I and my technical guys tried this, still, we are facing the following issue. After activation of 1KC, we are unable to view the resources to add in the customer project under work package. Could you please help me out more to solve this issue.
Thank you as always.

Hi Kundan,
My understanding (when I asked my technical colleague about how this would be done in an everyday sense) is that your technical team would create an app (e.g. on SAP Cloud Platform) or interface that your Project/Resource manager uses to add the availability data. That then gets posted into S/4HC via the api. Details to build the app itself is too specific/technical a topic for this forum, but there are various examples that your technical team can get started with on sap.com/extends4
Hi Kundan,
Has your team tried to maintain availability using the API? If you face a specific challenge in that I'd suggest posting (the error etc.) in the cross area section to get help to resolve that step. The availability must be maintained for resources to show up as options in PS with 1KC activated. As far as the system is concerned right now, there is no viable resource/employee to pick from, because all of them have 0 hours available.
andrew.saunders Thanks for the response. We are getting the information as of now with the help of technical symptoms. But could you please help us how to maintain the resources in terms of 1KC availablity on a daily basis.
Any step by step procedure document for how to maintain the resources by using 1KC scope please.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kundan,
Without knowing any details of the steps you have followed so far, it's complicated to analyze the source of the issue.
The step by step procedure is described in document "Setting Up Daily Availability Data Using an API.pdf", in the link I shared above. Firstly, you need to establish a communication scenario for API Manage Workforce Availability. Have you done this? If yes, you need to select the HTTP method POST, copy paste the Service URL for Service "Manage Workforce Availability" in your communication arrangement and follow the steps described in section 5.1.2.
Kind regards,
Ana
kundan_v Hi Kundan. Sorry I think we're getting a bit firmly into specific solutioning here (and beyond the remit of a community question). Honestly I think that's just design that your technical team would manage. I guess you could put a suitable calendar into the frontend application/interface you're setting up so you select the resource - the calendar days - and that creates the code that gets pushed into s4hc via API?
But please consider if your initial question has been answered and that particular topic can be closed. It's more beneficial to the community to have distinct/separate challenges in a seperate thread.
Hi kundan_v ,
As andrew.saunders pointed out for you to be able to pass multiple dates and in the form of functions becomes a question of API development and further knowledge on the API calls you are conducting such as post or batch for instance.
In the most simplest form to be able to maintain multiple dates in one shot simply repeat your payload for each calendar date when using Postman. That said, I am working with colleague on publishing a how-to guide that would allow you maintain availability information in single and batch records using a plug-in installed on Microsoft Excel - coming soon!
Hope this clarifies,
Thank you,
Feras
andrew.saunders Thanks for the reply. Please note my query:
How can we use the Same API to load the availability for multiple resources for Range of calendar days Considering factory calendar at mass/batch?
I tried passing the range of calendar days(From-To) but I'm getting 404 error.
Please advise or suggest, what should be pass in Calender days to update as for ranges of date.
Hi dkrielen ,
The below document may be help.

Feras
