Business partner SAP internal ID and Business system ID

Hi everybody, 

I have a question about SAP internal technical ID and Business system ID. 

I would like to use the customer ID for integration with an external system, so when I upload a Customer template, using Migration Cockpit APP,  I activate this option at the stage of "Contert values". 

And then SAP proposes an SAP Internal Technical ID and offers to input Business system ID.

But when I open the BP record (Maintain business partner APP) or export the BP from SAP (Export Master Data -  Business Partners APP) I can´t find any information or any field where Business system ID or SAP Internal technical ID appears.

I´ll be very gratefull if anybody can help me to find where I can see this ID´s in SAP System.

Hello Ekaterina,

As you point out during the convert value step you have flagged that these migrated business partners would be used in integration with external systems. Thereafter in the second step you may input the business system ID for instance, used in the communication arrangement that is setup for the integration.

That said, this external system ID is not necessarily a customer master attribute and no where in the source file/template do you input that information and therefore you were not able to retrieve that information in the BP app or export master data app.

but I also have some doubts about SAP Internal Technical ID ... cause as I see this fiels is mandatory. Do I understand right, if I choose the integration with external system SAP creates internal technical ID ({XO{qsVU7jcemz93X5YS7G). And this ID, theoretically, should I see somewhere o no?

Hi Ekaterina,

In practice you will not see the technical ID in the system - it simply represents your customer master object within your migration project. What is important to note is that once you flag 'yes' to external system integration than the external business system ID should match your setup with system IDs used in communication arrangements. Yet again this information is not really an attribute of your customer master.
