Alphanumeric Project Ids

Hello,

I have customized the project Ids using the Bapi.

As i used this functionality, the auto generation was possible for Customer Project and Internal Project but only numeric.

I need to know can we auto generate alphanumeric project Ids.

Kindly suggest for the same.
