Service Order Management in S4HC

Hi,

In the online help, I can see some details about service order management here https://help.sap.com/viewer/adbae5bcd5994f159bf2847a11397b61/1811.500/en-US/ce6da8b86f2841f4b2a54f9a...

Is this functionality currently available (and if so, which roles do I need)?  I can't find anything in Best Practices Explorer.

Alternatively, is this something actually coming with 1902 - as I can see details on the roadmap...

Grateful if someone can clarify - as this is something which is if great interest to a client we are working with.

Thanks

Clare

Service Order Management is available thru scope item 3D2. It covers the creation of service orders from an external system through an API.

Service Management is a new line of business introduced in release 1902 and comprises Service Order Management and Service Contract Management.

Interesting - thanks.

Am I right in thinking that this is currently only available in the Germany and USA country versions (this seems to be the implication when I look in BP explorer - I was by default looking in the UK version which is why I was seeing nothing).

Do you have any information on when it might be available for The Netherlands?

Hi Clare,

Rick is correct. More on service contracts coming in 1905. The API is available in 1902 for service orders. You can use it now through to billing, but there is no UI. It looks like a sales order, functions like a project. I'm working on a customer as well who is looking for this, so have been staying close to this topic as well.

Happy to connect if you would like, pm me.
