Complete characteristics in journal entry template to upload

Hello,

We're trying to upload journal entries with template and we've fiiled some characteristcs in that template, but we get to upload the template, in the post document, these chracteristics are not filled.

When the template is uploaded doesn't work in a button "add profitability segment" and for this reason, the characteristics fields aren't completed, according to our tests.

Someone knows how can we do it correctly?.

I assume you are talking about the profitability segment characteristic fields? So long as you correctly name the template fields correctly as documented here https://help.sap.com/viewer/0fa84c9d9c634132b7c4abb9ffdd8f06/1811.500/en-US/41f88d19c3b64b1db1c2aa80... it should work fine - and you don't need an 'add proftability segment' button.

Assume you are adding the characteristics on an account line where it is relevant to do so?

It's one of the most useful new bits of functionality that SAP have added!

waman.shirwaicar there is not solution. The status group has nothing to do with it!!. I mean that it works because the test was manually, but my problem is when I upload the template.

Exactly, I'm talking about the profitability segment characteristics fields and accourding to the this information

I think this happens because when we upload the template, the system just accesses to the "Account Assignment" but We do need to access to the "Assignment to a Profitability Segment" and to fill the profitability characteristic fields.

mfranco Are you using the standard YCOA chart of accounts?

Wondering if the P&L account is a cost rather than revenue account - and the system may therefore be thinking that a profitability segment isn't relevant? Maybe try amending the field status group and see if that helps?

ccsmith I've already checked it!, and I have tested this case manually and there has not been any problem, the characteristics has filled correctly.

Could you confirm that the field status group settings for the PA segment was the cause of the issue ?
