Assign plant in HR master record in CAT2

Hello everyone

when i try to use CAT2 to input hours to an employee for a certain activity, sap prompts a message that says :

Assign plant in HR master record

i have browsed about the topic, they speak about mantaining the hr master data, infotype 0350 and thinks like that but i do not even know how to find it and what exactly should i fill in to make it correctly.

Any help about this please?

I think the problem is solved for now assigning a Plant through infotype 315 in PA30

I will let you know if i find further problems

Hi A m,

Please provide a message class/number as a starting point. From the CATS process perspective Plant information is not really essential, so it would be nice to understand which info-type (IT) the system is referring to and why. If it is referring to the IT 0001 you cannot change it in PA30 and will need to take an HR action in PA40 for example. Also would be nice to understand what account assignment object you are using in CAT2.

Use transaction PA30 to maintain personnel records. HR is a little different from other areas in SAP in that InfoTypes are used to hold personnel data. InfoTypes are like views in a Material Masters.

Hi, You can check with infotype 0315 - Time sheet defaults, in supplementary information section, you may have to specify the default plant (otherwise system will try to determine the plant from infotype 0001). You have to check with your HR Consultant. I attached the screenshot:
