QA33 or QGC3 Control Charts - Specify Date Range

In QA33, I select an inspection lot I am interested in, choose a parameter for which I would like a control chart, and then select control chart. The chart shows up, but it gives me the data for this parameter going back to the beginning of time, as far as I can tell. This isn't particularly useful, since changes are made to the process that directly affect the outcome of the parameter, so I would like to set a specified start date for the left most date on the X axis.

Right clicking the X axis and choosing Format Axis gives very limited options, and the only way I have been able to change the range shown is to adjust the number of items and tell it to start from a specific item (E.g. there are 176 items, and I want the last 50, so I say show me 50 items starting from 126). Again, this isn't very useful, because I would need to look up how many lots have been run since the last change. This should be much simpler.

QGC3 is the same, I am able to pull up the control chart, but there is no option to set a specific date range for the X axis. Am I missing something simple? I have been googling how to do this for hours now and can't find any information on this topic. All help appreciated!
