Migration from ECC to S/4HANA - how to define if LE-WM whs. will run in CP mode or StRmMgmt

Hi,

migrating from ECC to S/4HANA and wondering how to configure for a LE-WM warehouse no. if it should run in CP mode or with Stock Room Management as we will have a mix of both for a lot of migrated WM warehouses.

Hi mike_1804,

Agreed - as far as I know there's no such flag or anything you can activate on the warehouse number, but only SAP representatives who may or may not use the Stockroom Compliance Check during license audit. 🙂 At least if there was one, I wouldn't have found it yet. So that's a difference to EWM Basic/Advanced, where you specifically activate the Advanced version via Customizing.

Thanks Jonas for the quick reply.

The StRmMgmt compliance check has already been performed and the outcome as that some of the LE-WM whs. are not compliant and therefore we have to run those in CP mode in S/4HANA.

But question was more from a technical perspective, couldn`t find any settings in IMG in S/4HANA defining if whs. runs in CP mode or StRmMgmt.

Hi mike_1804 ,

Please refer to note 2882809 which delivers report STOCKROOM_COMPLIANCE_CHECK. You can use this report to check per warehouse number whether it is already compliant with stock room management or whether it's using non-included components of classic WM.

You can install the report already in ECC system, so that you can check upfront and change customizing accordingly if possible. I have found it to be actually a quite useful tool, but it doesn't save you from checking custom developments ...
