CL_GUI_ALV_TREE - is there a way to export to Excel?

is there a method to export the OO tree data to Excel? specifically, I have modified report RHSTRU00. The users want to be able to download to excel.

I know it's not practical to display tree data in Excel, but we have a requirement for a headcount report and the CIO wants this output in Excel.

This report show who reports to whom and rolls up Active EEs, Vacancies, EEs on Leave, Terminated EEs, etc... by org unit all the way to the top.
