SAC story variables error

Hi experts,

I'm using a live connection with BW and set a story variable to select a specific date.
It works quite good but sometimes I can't chose a value for the variable and get this error message: "Variable dialog cannot be opened until submit is done"

Can someone explain what this error means and how to fix this?
