How do we integrate scanners like HP Scanjet 7000N to store documents to m-files or SAP DMS?

I have below query need to be clear:-

  1. Does M-File allow for incoming files from a scanner. How can it be done
  2. Does SAP allow for incoming files to be received from a scanner and how it can be processed.
