Multiple View counts for single View event

Hi,

We are on SAP BOBJ 4.2 SP7 patch4.

I have created audit report on Audit universe to know the usage Analysis workspace report with following data:

Username, Report name, Report type, Action type, Action count and Start Datetime objects.

The problem is that I'm getting 2 View Counts for a single View event. Each count has separate event id’s and different timestamps; this is only for View Event. While creating a report, it shows the correct count as “Create”.

We validated the result data many times but bad luck. Is there any way to get the correct View events (Count)?

Hello Gaurav,

I think this is by design and not specifically an issue to this version of BI. Audit DB captures and stores two entries for every read event. You can search for same issue and find XI version use to have same behavior. Beside I checked 4.1 SP09 Audit on Oracle DB as well.

In BW also computes two entries per event one for actual read and other for control/ confirmation. Though they appear with distinct event type. I don't see a type field in BI side though.

Use Distinct function to get the actual count.

You might be able to do a distinct count on a combination of the report cuid and the session id (NOT event id!) to get the number you're looking for.
