Material Description Determination in Purchase order

Hello all,

Hope you are doing good and safe.

I need help regarding the material short text determination in Purchase orders.

My observations

1. In third part scenario, when material desc. is changed in Sales order (PR is updated with changed description) is not getting updated till PO.

2. When creating a PR with changed description, PO is updated with the changed description from PR.

3.While creating component in Service order, it is not letting me change the description.

Is this the standard functionality? Please advise.

Defining copying rules for item texts---- > 030 (material PO texts) ...Text Linkages with 1 or 3 with an input in Fix column?

Please check your configuration 'Define Copying Rules for Item Texts' for 'Material PO text' in SPRO-Materials Management-Purchasing-Purchase Order-Texts for Purchase Orders.

Material description determination in PO taken base on that configuration.
