SAP Test Automation - Integration with 3rd party

We have built a very strong test repository of automation test suites and are using it frequently in our change/bug fix test cycles. Currently these test suite is limited to a specific ECC system, and very few that go across 2 ECC systems. Our integration platform is SAP PI/PO and we also have CPI environment set up.

We also have other 3rd party products - both SAP and non SAP - in our landscape: like IBP, Glovia, SFDC. We would like to extend our test repository to also include these products.

1. Does Solman Test suite support 3rd party product integration to achieve the classic end-2-end test scenarios? If yes, then what is the approach? If no, then is there a solution as to how this can be done?

2. Our test scenarios which currently cover end-2-end scenarios between ECCs through PO integration layer. I wanted to understand how deep the test suite can go in PO layer and check; e.g. IDOC generated in SAP & send to downstream system via PO. Can will automation go in PO and check in the file and confirm ? Basically trying to understand the level of detail this tool can go..

Wrt query 1: Yes, there is a third-party application called Sahi Pro. It has a SAP Add-on which adds support for automation of SAP GUI. Reference https://resources.sahipro.com/docs/introduction/sahi-pro-sap-addon.html

Wrt query 2: Again coming back to the same tool Sahi Pro. This tool can seamlessly automate and test end-2-end scenarios between ECCs through PO integration layer.

Hello Sohil,

Wrt query 1 - SAP Solution Manager does provide integration to few of the 3rd party tools like UFT, TOSCA, WorkSoft Certify etc. If these tools support automation of the Non-SAP application you have then you can integrate these automated test scripts along with your already automated test configuration (I believe you have used CBTA as the tool here) and create and e2e automated Business Process.

Query 2 - Please confirm which tool you are using to create automated test scripts. Do you have an UI to check if the file exists ? If yes is this SAP UI or Windows UI ?
