Configure Inspection Type 03 for Process Order linked to an inspection plan

Hi,

I currently have a process where I want to enable quality control during the production process (03) together with inspection points. However, I do not want the inspection lot to use master recipe operations as its source, but rather an inspection plan.

How can I do this using type of inspection 03 or else, some other type of inspection that is created in the release of the order together with type 04 that I currently use.

As far as I know and as described on SAP Help at 'Inspections During Production'

• If you intend to record inspection results, inspection characteristics have been created or assigned to one or more operations in a routing or master recipe.

..."

You need either a routing or master recipe for 03 lots created at release of process/production order.

I have the situation where I need to generate an inspection lot at the time of the release of the process order, which is not of type 04 (since I am already using it), to carry out the control in process with supervision points.

However, I do not want to link the characteristics with revenue operations, I would like to create operations prepared in a control plan. I did not find another option / type of control that could be linked to a plan that is generated when the process order is released.

I cannot use type 04 because it is already used for the analysis process at the end of production.

I do not know whether you use early 04 inspection or regular 04 (at GR). But early 04 might be an option.

The term 'revenue operation' is unknown to me, but it is possible to determined more operations in a task list (like routing) and not each operation has to have characteristics.

At order release the lot origin 03 is relevant (and the mentioned early 04).

Maybe the peers will have additional ideas to the topic.

03 lot can be generated only when you have maintained the char. at Master Recipe or Routing.

As an alternative, try using the PI Sheet Process Parameters in case you want to record the production process parameters as part of your in-process inspections.

In case you an external system like LIMS, then have the in-process parameters recorded there and do not transfer to SAP.
