S/4HANA 1909 or 2020 Fully activated appliance on SAP CAL - UMML4HANA component

Hello Experts,

Firstly happy new year.

I have learnt that we need to have UMML4HANA component installed to enable or utilize SAP Predictive Analytics capabilities built using Machine Learning - as part of SAP Embedded ML.

I am wondering if these capabilities are present in SAP S/4HANA 1909 or S/4HANA 2020 Fully activated appliance present in SAP Cloud Appliance Library, Based on the confirmation I would like to activate , create instance and get insights of SAP Embedded ML use case.

In case you need a guideline to install SAP S/4HANA 2020 on Google Cloud Platform, I already dealt with it and created a youtube video about that. I leave here the link just in case it could be of any help for you.

Hi Shishupalreddy,

there are a couple of lean scenarios for embedded ML contained in the appliance that show you how to use the respective UIs and functions (see https://blogs.sap.com/2019/04/23/sap-s4hana-fully-activated-appliance-demo-guides/ > Section A > Analytics).

However, since machine learning / artificial intelligence scenarios in general require large data sets to be efficient and reliant, you won't see really good results with the limited sample data set that we have in the appliance.

Hello Joerg,

As you rightly said the size of the data in demo systems would be always a challenge to measure AI , ML algorithms.

I am basically looking for the component availability so that I would be able to get idea on How SAP is making S/4HANA business processes intelligent and try out one end to end scenario.
