Dear All,
How system determines the EWM logical destination in case conveyer system? Is there any link between storage bin and this Logical destination of EWM so system will pick this information from warehouse task and then determine the routing?
Thanks for your help on this.
Regards
Anub
Hi,
I have never set it up. But the documentation (under "Define Routing for Case Conveyor System") says:
"In this Customizing activity, you define the logical destination for a programmable logic controller (PLC), to which a handling unit (HU) should be moved.
The logical destination is determined based on the following:
•The communication point mentioned in the receiving telegram
•The activity area of the open warehouse orders for the HU
Furthermore, you can define the destination communication point to which the HU has to be posted in EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). If the PLC sends an explicit acknowledgement telegram that the HU was moved to a logical destination, the HU will be posted to the associated destination storage bin in EWM which is assigned to the communication point."
So I guess this explains it?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Thanks Juergen for your response.
I got the understanding. Little more doubts on it.
For a scenario as shown below, in case of pallet conveyer system, it will follow LOSC where Storage group will help if HU will go CP03 or CP04.
But in case of Case conveyer system, How it will decide?
If these 2 bins ( A & B) belong to 2 separate Activity Area, then from routing table we can determine the Logical destination (PLC) which will tell where to go next.
But if these bins belong to same activity area, then how system would determine the Logical destination ?
Rgds, Anub
Hi,
"But if these bins belong to same activity area, then how system would determine the Logical destination ?"
as I wrote, I have never set this up. But when I read through the documentation I would think that this is not possible, and that you need two separate activity areas. The same as you would need separate storage groups for LOSC.

Hi anubp081
Sorry, What do you mean by logical destination ?
Do you mean Communication Point ?If yes, then tcode is /SCWM/MFS_CP - Maintain Communication Points where you can map with bin.
Kind Regards.
