No planning object needs to be forecasted error when running my statistical forecast

When running my statistical forecast, I receive a "No planning object needs to be forecasted error" any idea what may be the problem?

This results in my statistical forecast returning no data despite my actuals qty key figure being populated. Along with my relevant master data.

Best regards

Ehi

Hi Ehi,

It seems the Target KF for Forecast (in the Forecasting Steps tab) is something other than Stat forecast KF. Please check the forecast model and run it again.

If this is still giving an error, then create a simple average forecast model for the PA and provide only these details - Periodicity, history, input KF, output KF, Algorithm --> Simple Average. Save it and run.

Conclusion:

1. If the new Simple average piece works, then the issue is with your original forecast model. Recreate the forecast model.

2. If the new Simple average forecast is also not working, then there is an issue with the configuration of the Demand process in the IBP

Hi,

This can come if no planning combinations are present on the historical horizon. if this is not the issue, then disable the parameter for Disregard Leading Nulls in the forecasting models. OSS note-3150048.
