Hello All,
Is there way to move Value mappings from SAP PO to SAP CPI?
Thanks
Dear Naresh,
The UDO tool has the feature to export any Directory Object (ICOs, Scenarios, Com. Channels, Value Mappings, Certificates etc.) to Excel or XML. From there you can upload the Value Mappings to CPI. UDO also offers an option to export any kind of Mapping (Java, XSLT or Message Mapping) to a human readable format (HTML5).
Please note that I am an employee of the UDO company.
If you need more information, please contact me via Email.
Best regards, Martin

Hello Raffael,
Thanks for the response.
When we have more number of value mapping this is a bit tedious job. Instead If SAP can provide direct option to download from PO to CPI then that simplify the things. Similar to the option provided for message mapping to import from PO to CPI.

Hi naresh.dasika11
there is no automatic way, but you can setup a semi-automtic, less error prone process. Use the (Directory-)SOAP-API of SAP PO to export your value mappings as XML file. (Check section one of this blog post to learn how to use/access the Directory APIs: https://blogs.sap.com/2020/10/14/automate-it-an-overview-on-sap-pi-po-apis/)
Then transform the exported value mapping XML into the CPI CSV format as described here: https://blogs.sap.com/2018/04/26/sap-cloud-platform-integration-csv-import-in-value-mapping
For transforming you could write a small script/application, use the Excel XML-import and CSV export or setup a SAP PO interface itself. There are multiple options...

Hello Shivaram,
Thanks for the response.
This is a much needed option for the customers who migrate their interfaces from SAP PO to SAP CPI as part of their cloud initiatives. Manual way of re-creating value mappings by looking at SAP PO is a hectic and error prone activity.

Hi
It is a valid concern. May be you can add your thoughts through a customer influence request

Thanks & Regards

Agree with Sanil..There is a catch in terms of how SAP CPI works and SAP PO from value mapping perspective. It would be good if you can submit the idea one to export value mapping from SAP PO and SAP CPI should give an option to import in the same format( not with the format of SAP PO )

Submitted Improvement request https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/260013. Thank you Sanil.
Hello Naresh,
I dont think there is a option to directly migrate from SAP PI/PO into SAP CPI.
