Company make a FG1 product using raw material sheet (RM1).

if the quantity of RM1 is 0 then they use RM2 which is a similar rm to RM1 with little Difference, to Produce FG1.

in SAP B1 we have BOM of FG1 includes RM1 Sub Component. what to do to match it with physical stated above?

as they use RM2 to Produce FG1 instead of RM1 due to less quantity. what should i do in sap b1 ?

Dear owaisk,

You can keep both alternative raw materials as components on the Bill of Materials. Upon creating the production order you can delete the material that will not be used. Just remember to delete the redundant component before adding the Receipt from Production. Otherwise the cost of all the components would be counted in the received product value.

Kind Regards

Jan
