Dear Members,
I am configuring a database of sap b1 in a company which does both trading and production. Below are elaborations regarding both production and Trading:
-Trading:
It imports goods and sell them as it is to different customers.
Production:
It procures most of raw materials from local market and imports some of raw materials and does production and sells them in local market.
Issue:
Kindly guide me about making item groups and there series so that i can identify raw materials, manufactured items and imported items seperately.
Best Regards.
Hi,
Create 2 item groups,
1. Production Items
2. Trade items.
While creating item master data, assign correct item group to that item.
For example, if item master data is production item, then select item master data as Inventory, sales and purchase item.
If trade items, just select as sales and purchase items.

Nagarajan
