Platform Search error message

Hi,

in an otherwise healthy, brand new install of Crystal Server 2016 SP8 patch 6 on Windows Server 2019, I am getting an error message in the platform search application properties panel

this error was not there earlier after the install and the search facility was set to continuous crawling, skipping instances.

Funny thing is the search facility is working fine in the Launchpad and even picks up new reports we add in.

I'm logged on as Administrator and have full control over the application and all servers. The APS with the search service is running. I restarted the SIA but error has not gone away.

I've looked up the error number and teh message but can't see anything similar online

Any suggestions?

there is an object in your CMS that has missing property.
Since it was working originally, this means this object was added recently or modified recently.
Enable high trace on APS that has search service in it and on CMS server in CMC and see if the logs show which object this comes from.
