SIAG_TRANS_CNT => Updating Retention

The table SIAG_TRANS_LOG has been retired, I used this as a base table for a custom report. I have found that SIAG_TRANS_CNT will be sufficient to use, BUT the Purge Pgm SIAGUSGDEL runs every Sunday using the table swnccollparam.relid = WN controls the number of months to keep, I need it changed to the value, but before I am allowed to change this, I must prove that changing this record will NOT affect any other tables, or if it does, changing from 2 to 16 months (swnccollparam.keep_mont and swnccollparam.keep_tmont fields) Please advise if changing will or will NOT compromise the database........
