First Article Inspection for EWM managed Storage location

Hi All,

We are working on one of the implementation of S4/HANA1909 version. There is a requirement for FAI when we procure material from vendor first time then FAI inspection lot should trigger.

To achieve this we have created Status profile and assigned 0101 inspection type so that when we perform GR first time for purchase order then 0101 inspection lot created when we use IM managed storage location in purchase order.

But when we use EWM managed storage location in purchase order then FAI inspection lot not created,

For EWM managed storage location we need solution how to trigger FAI.

We want to know any solution available for EWM managed storage location for FAI for SAP S4/HANA 1909 version.

we are struggling with the same problem in our projec at the moment.

Did you find a solution for this?

There is also the FAI for PPAP (First Article Inspection for Production Part Approval | SAP Help Portal). But this is not fitting to our requirements, as you need to enter the order and order item manually in the quality info record.

How did you solve it in your project?

Dear All,

FAI process is supported as of S/4HANA 2020 EWM (both decentral and embedded) and not available in older releases than S/4HANA 2020.
