Hello SAP Experts,
It seems that in past years, there has typically been an announcement as to the next version of Analysis for Office by the 4th quarter of the year. In addition, it seems that the first deployment of that new version is released mid December. I have checked the AO wiki and the AO Pam and do not see mention of the next version of AO. I only see that the end of mainstream maintenance for AO 2.8 is 11/26/2021. Have any of you seen any other information about the next version of Analysis for Office?
Thank you,
Lisa
Hello Lisa,
You can check future planned enhancement and roadmap via roadmap explorer. This is publicly available information. You can add products into My Roadmap, so that you do not miss out any new update.
Search by Analysis For Office. You are correct though, Q4 2020 is the last entry and nothing beond that (yet)..

Hello Ayman,
Thank you for commenting on my post. I did see the information that you are sharing in the AO Wiki. However, this information is for 2.8. As the AO PAM information indicates that AO 2.8 is out of mainstream maintenance 11/26/2021, I wanted to find out about what version is after 2.8. We typically update AO once a year (occasionally, twice a year if the one we picked is problematic) and start to consider the next version around this time to plan for something in Q1 of the next year that will be in support through Q1 of the following year. In reviewing the AO Wiki and the PAM, I thought it was odd that I did not see anything about a version such as 2.9 in the related product information in the PAM for other versions. Also, in past years I seem to recall that there would be a webinar about the features of the next version towards the second half of the year. This year, I did not happen to see one. Did I miss it?
Best regards,
Lisa
