Adding Surveys to opportunities submitted for approval

Hi All,

We have a requirement where we have setup and approval process for opportunities. Now when this opportunity reached to an approver they need to add and fill out a survey. Currently when an opportunity is in Approval status the ADD button in the surveys tab in opportunity is greyed out.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Hi Amir,

I think your solution - working with different page-layouts that hide or show the survey tab, is the best way to go to prevent submitter to read or maintain the survey.

The authorisations / access restrictions on surveys is on the creation and maintenance of the survey itself.

Hi Amir,

Can you tell a bit more on the process? and how did you set up your approval process and the routing rule for your survey?

Why does the approver needs to press ADD? Is the survey not automatically assigned when you press Actions - Refresh from the activity plan?

Thanks for your answer.

The requirement is to restrict the opportunity submitter to edit the surveys. Only the approver should be able to edit the surveys. We have gone for a work around now to hide the surveys tab completely for the Opportunity Submitter so they can not see and edit the surveys. The surveys are though added automatically on opportunities submit for approval.

But is there any way to achieve the original requirement ie, restriction on editing the survey answers based on business roles?
