difference between LEADTIME and TLEADTIME

Hi experts,

I am being confused about the difference between TLEADTIME(Transportation Lead Time) and LEADTIME(Lead Time). As long as the link related to SOURCELOCATION MDT as shown below, I understood that both KFs cannot be

simultaneously used. But, after all, from the business requirement, is there any criteria to differentiate the usage of both KFs? Or, do they just play the same role ???

Hi,

TLEADTIME(Transportation Lead Time) is being used by the Inventory optimization algorithms where as LEADTIME(Lead Time) is used by the supply planning operator.

You can also use TLEADTIME in supply planning algorithm but you need to do the following:-

If you want to use TLEADTIME, you must remove the LEADTIME attribute from this master data type. This is because if you specify both attributes, the LEADTIME value is always used by the planning algorithms.

Also, be aware that if this master data type contains LEADTIME, you won't be able to map TLEADTIME in the Settings for TS Supply Planning app.

Hope this clears your doubt 🙂

HI Kenta Kono,

When Lead times are not the same across the planning horizon then we can maintain TLEADTIME by maintaining as Attribute as Key figure (AAKF). This Attribute data type is Decimal, so can be used as AAKF.

As we know, if we maintain both Lead Time and TLead Time in SOURCELOCATION MDT then system will give preference to Lead TIme.

Values maintained under Lead Time in any master data type are time independent and will be same across the planning horizon by default.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks and Regards,
