Find String within an object

I have a set of accounts

Green Account 1

Blue Account 3

Red Account 5

Green Account 2

Green Account 5

I added an input control to search these Accounts. When I type in *Green I get nothing in return. My objects are all dimensions. I also tried searching by number *5 and am still getting nothing in return. Am I using the wrong wildcard in the business objects?

Thanks

have you tried *Green*

Thank you for your response- I have tried that as well. I am thinking it might have to do with Filter Operator. It provides Equal to, Greater than or equal to etc. But I was hoping it would say Contains or something for a text field.

Exactly because the wildcard does not work in the input controls.
If you want to use search in the input controls, you should use the filter operator "greater than or equal to". Please note, however, that other content that meets the filter condition may also be displayed and other not (depending on your data).

So it is not the right way to work with the input controls when you want to use a wildcard.

There is a workaround for using wildcards in input control, but it takes some effort. (Creating some variables and applied filter)
