Hi IBP Expert,
I was wondering if you could please advise if SAP IBP Time Series forecast consumption can consider open sales order in the past (Backlog order)?
For example, current week is week 48. There are open SO and consensus demand qty in week 46 (past week).
How to enable forecast consumption to consider past SO (backlog) to the current week demand and to consume past consensus demand accordingly?
Thank you very much for your advice.
Cheers,
Erwan
Hi Erwan,
No, there's no such functionality in the TS-Based Forecast Consumption. When you select the start horizon to be on week 48, the data passed to the operator is only from week 48 up to the end horizon selected. Therefore, no data from week 46 and 47 are passed, hence backlog order isn't performed.
Ideally, you'd need to select the start horizon = week 46. Furthermore, if you would like to provide an enhancement to the business logic, you can submit it to our Customer Influence Program for IBP via the following link. Once an idea reaches 10 votes, the Product Management team reviews it and develops it in case of a suitable idea.
Best regards,
Matheus

Thanks Matheus,
I have raised enhancement request in customer influence program below to consider past open SO in the TS-based forecast consumption.
