Hana Cloud 1909 EHS Initial incident Record Adobe Form Rendering Issue

Hi Team,

We have copied the EHS - Incident Management - Initial Incident Record Form which is Adobe fragment based form into a custom form and updated the Form name in the SPRO settings.

We have redefined the OData service and added entities as per the requirement.
This Service has been added to the Copied Form as the Gateway Service.
The Data is getting fetched for the newly created Entities.

However while generating the form we are encountering the below error :-
"Processing exception during a "Render" operation.#Request #com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ProcessingException: No output was generated while rendering: Stream for: PDFOut. #Please validate the input files"

We have also tried removing the newly added Entities and matching exactly as the Standard Form and still we are getting this error message.

Please help us to find out what we might be missing.

Thanks & Regards,
Parth

Hi Parth,
do you have a working ADS connected to the system?

In note: 944221 - Error analysis for problems in form processing - SAP ONE Support Launchpad,

perform the steps:
1. Test program FP_TEST_00
2. Test program FP_PDF_TEST_00, RFC connection to ADS

If you see an error for any of these reports I think you have found the root cause for all these issues ( ADS was not configured ).

Best regards
Pascal

Hi Pascal,

I have executed all the test programs mentioned in the note 944221.
They all ran successfully.
So looks like the ADS is configured correctly.

Thanks & Regards,
Parth

Hi Parth,
when the app raises the error: Form Template could not be created. / Form Template already exists.

It means that you wanted to create a new form template (when clicking button "new"), but there is already a form template with the exact same name (note that the prefix shown in the dialog is added to the form template name. e.g. Prefix: YY1, Name: DEMO => YY1_DEMO)

So in order to resolve this, you can either:

  • Update an existing form template

Click on any form template in the list. Use the button "upload".

  • Create a new Form template with a different name

Click on Button "new".
Input any name that does NOT exist in your system.

Best regards
Pascal

Hi Pascal,

Thanks for the prompt reply !
I tried creating a new Form with different name using the "New" Button option as recommended above.
In this approach I am getting the below error messages :-
Form Template could not be created.
Form Template creation error.

Any pointers as to where should I look in order to find out what resulted in the creation error ?

Regards,
Parth

Hi Parth,
hard to tell what the actual issue is. Did you modify the form template? Does the pdf rendering work in Adobe Livecycle Designer with your data?

You can extract template + data (for designer) via transaction: SFP (

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/944221 ).
See section Generate pdf with additional information. After generating the pdf, check the attachments in adobe reader it will contain data (XFD.xml) and the template (Template.xdp).

Hi Pascal,

Thanks for replying to my queries.
As per your suggestion, I have downloaded the Form but from "Maintain Form Templates" Fiori App.
Then changed the .xdp using Adobe Livecycle Designer.
Now when I am trying to upload it in the "Maintain Form Template" Fiori App keeping the Data Source same as standard, I am getting an error message as below :-
Form Template could not be created.
Form Template already exists.

Please let me know if you have encountered something similar to this.

Thanks & Regards,
Parth
