1. What are the steps to apply SAP S4 Hana Sales & Distribution certification from India and How much it cost.

I cannot say for India specifically, but I chose the option for certification in the cloud. Basically this is the same as attending a regular certification exam, but you can do this from home at a time which suits you best (definitely a good solution these days considering COVID-19 restrictions). Here is a blog explaining how it works: Take your SAP Certification Exams in the Cloud.

I used Germany as location for payment processing, because CER006 was not available for my country, the price for 6 exam attempts is 500 EUR, which is more affordable compared to what I paid several years ago when I attended an exam on-site.

2. Before applying can i get any material in online to prepare for SAP S4 HANA Sales & Distribution.

If you can afford it (or if your company provides it), you can use Learning Hub. For my SD exam on 1909 I used a combination of the official SAP help, SAP notes, blogs and prototyping in a sandbox system. There are some SAP Press books for SD on S/4HANA, but I did not use them to prepare for the exam.

3. Any valuable tips for the preparations.

  • If you do not have access to a S/4HANA system, it will be challenging to prepare well for the exam even if you can get you hands on good documentation. Try to acquire access to a S/4HANA system, preferably on the version for which you will take the exam.
  • Read very carefully the questions. Personally, I found some of them quite confusing. This could be due to the fact that I am not a native English speaker, but for some questions my reaction was "Why are you asking this, it makes no sense".
  • Make proper use of the tools during the exam. If you are not 100% sure about an answer and you feel that you spent too much time on it already, mark it and go on. If you still have time after you finish with all other questions, you can easily find it and think about the solution.
  • If you still have some time left, go through all answers again before submitting (even if you think that you answered everything correctly).
  • Try the sample questions at least a few days before the exam to get used to the exam tools (if this is the first time you attend a SAP exam online).
  • When you try the sample questions, observe not only how many answers you got right but also how long it took you to answer. If you barely managed to fit within the given time, you definitely need to practice more or you have to reread the documentation.
  • Make sure to test your software, hardware and network connectivity before booking an exam slot.
