Time Travel Snapshot size

Hello,

Anybody know how to check the size of HANA secondary time travel snapshots? Admin guide and related SAP notes only talks about increased disk usage if secondary time travel option is enabled but I have not been able to find any mention of how to check space consumption by these time travel snapshots.

System view SYS_DATABASES_SR_SITE_<sitename>.M_SNAPSHOTS has the full list of time travel snapshots after I enabled time travel but no size stats are available

Tried hdbcons -e hdbindexserver snapshot a '<snapshot_id>' but it gives invalid SnapshotID error.

Hi Kiran,

Hope you tried with : hdbcons -e hdb<service_name> 'snapshot a <snapshot_id>'

(Note the single quotes on 'snapshot a <snapshot_id>' altogether.)

That worked! Didn't realize I had to enclose the whole snapshot command in quotes. Thanks a lot!
