SAC Incremental Load button disapears!

In looking at the documentation for SAC's newer incremental load feature. it says it works for date fields on S4hana oDATA or generic odata.

In the screen shot from SAP "what new" it shows the generic Odata query panel and the "date" icons. Yet when We use a data source from s4hana via an S4h odata connection. The date fields (DATS) in the cds view show up as character fields and not date fields !!

Up date- I tried using the generic odta as well same issue!

Is the S4 Odata connection broken for incremental loads because the date fields show up as CHAR!?

This issue is pending in a development request.. seems CDS views on activation to odata generate string fields for dates!

thanks but the issue is that the incremental load is done BEFORE wrangling. it is a dynamic filter on load that keeps track of the last date or seq number. It only works on "DATE or numeric fields. I need it for a date field 🙂

Fyi the issue is on the output of the cds view.. It seems date fields are outputting as strings. This might be a CDS auto odata limitation. I might have to alter the service manually!
