Dear Comrads,

In our company we inserting manufacturer/brand name in material description during creating material master in SAP. Our management's expectation is to avoid this approach, so we are seeking for way to resolve this problem. But we aware that there might be risk to round up all similar materials ( for example ball bearing even the dimensions are the same) and assign one material code and material descriptions. What is your experience about it and what you could recommend?

Thank you in advance.
