Business Objects XI 3.1 SP6 and Tomcat v7.0.27 Upgrade

I am currently using Business Objects XI 3.1 SP6 and Tomcat v7.0.27 and I have been asked to upgrade Tomcat to a current stable version (Note that I am not able to upgrade Business Objects). Is this possible?
