Hello,
Is there a chance to exclude some customers from PIR automatic consumption by sales order once activated in material master data?
Planning scenario is Strategy 40 planning with final assembly.
thanks for any tips
Hello
You can do it if you are using a different sales order type for this customer. You can assign a specific requirement type to an item category that won't consume PIRs and always use an order type with this item category for this specific customer, so that PIRs are not consumed.

Hi Rajesh,
As suggested by Dominik, the relevant BADI available to influence consumption is MD_PIR_FLEX_CONS. However, the parameters what I have seen in that BADI are more from a Material ,MRP area, MRP element, sales requirements and nothing I could see on the customer. Unless you have a separate consumption characteristic which will differentiate for the customers where you want the consumption to happen and for others you don't want the consumption to happen it might be challenging to achieve the results you want. The consumption logics are built on how two types of demand PIR & Customer requirements are being handled from a material point of view rather than customer point of view.
I hope this helps.

Sasi

Hi Rajesh
I agreed with Caetano but if you want any shortcut then check to exclude the sales order Line item from MRP by changing the schedule Line category from CP to CN in sales order Line Item . Generally schedule line category is assigned with Item Category (VOV6). .

Hello rajesh_koothrappali
You can influence PIR consumption logic with MD_PIR_FLEX_CONS BAdi. Check out the BAdi documentation in SPRO: Production -> Material Requirements Planning -> Business Add-Ins for Requirements Planning.
