Hi guys,

Just to seek help, how can I check the last patch date of PI and BOBJ system? I know this 2 systems are very different so I want to know for both how.

Also, I do not have OS level access so how can i check it via application level?

Thanks in advance.

PI is Netweaver Java, isn't it? Then you cannot see it without access to the os. Have a look at "Note 2473415 - How to find component deployment history in AS Java?"

For BOBJ there is a tool available but again, you need access to the os

Hi Ulf,

I do not need the patch history. I only need the last patch date. Is there a way to see that in the application level?

Just follow the link and you will see that there is a column in the table with the description 'date'.

And as far as i know, there is no possibility to see this on the application level. Why would a 'normal' user need this information, an admin can easily see that.

I found this in the NWA of PI system. This is what I am looking for and I can settle with this without accessing OS level. Now, I want to know how I can check the same in BOBJ system.

A deployment is not necessarily a patch. It can be a deployment of new components.

And what exactly do you mean with 'patch'? I can patch a single component, e.g. when there is a security note, and this will most likely be a patch within the same support package level. Or i can update all componets by deploying a new support package level for all components.

For what reason do you need his information? If we knew that, it could help finding a suitable answer.

So what I need is even a patch date of a single component, so basically any patch or upgrade date. This is needed for Audit purposes.

in this case, ask the guys who are administrating the system to give you this information. They should be able to do this, espescially if you send them the note number for PI and the link to the tool for BOBJ.
